Lola Bauer Satterfield

   Lola Marie Bauer Satterfield, 91, formerly of Artie Street, Hertford, NC, and more recently of Maroon Bells Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Life Quality Home, Colorado Springs.    Mrs. Satterfield was born in Long Prairie, MN on August 26, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Peter N. and Loretta Escher Bauer.  Retired from Duke Power Company in Norwood, NC, she was a lifetime member of the Elizabeth City Chapter #44, The Order of the Eastern Star, and had served as past Matron in both the Bristol, RI and Norwood chapters.  A former member of Hertford United Methodist Church, more recently she had been active in Pikes Peak United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs.    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Satterfield, Jr., and by two brothers, Robert J. and Melvin J. Bauer.    Surviving are her daughter, Margaret J. Satterfield of Colorado Springs; a son, Gary T. Satterfield of Brandon, FL; and a brother, George C. Bauer of Long Prairie.    Graveside services will be held Monday, November 27, at 11:00 a.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery, and will be officiated by the Rev. Larry Hopkins.  Friends may join the family Sunday, November 26, from 5 to 6 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hertford U.M.C., 200 Dobbs Street, Hertford, NC 27944.
