Dorothy Sutcliffe Robinson

   Dorothy Beatrice Sutcliffe "Narnie" Robinson, 90, of Hertford, NC, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 in her home where she was surrounded by her family.

   Mrs. Robinson was born in Trenton, NJ on March 16, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Lystre Lawrence, Sr. and Beatrice Fenton Sutcliffe.  A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sheriff Ralph Paul Robinson; two sons, Ralph A. Robinson and Paul L. Robinson; a daughter, Patricia Martin Pethybridge; a sister, Kathleen E. Harper; and a brother, Lystre L. Sutcliffe, Jr.

   Surviving are her four daughters, Rebecca J. Castello of Farmingdale, NY, Ruth E. Benjaminson (Alan) of Chesapeake, VA, Jennifer L. Williams (Paul), and Cynthia A. Rios (Luis), all of Hertford; two sons, Donald D. Robinson of Woodland, WA and James E. Robinson (Denise) of Hertford; a daughter-in-law, Diane Robinson of Shelton, WA; a brother, Donald Sutcliffe of Siloam Springs, AR; 14 grandchildren, Geneen, Kim, Curtis, Susan, Leslie, Paul Ray, Katie, Mark, Steven, Tommy, Sara, Jamie, Kelly, and Kathy; and 32 great-grandchildren.

   Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
