Margie Dail Jordan

   Margie Dail Jordan, 73, of 703 W. Elizabeth Street, Elizabeth City, NC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center.

   Mrs. Jordan was born in Perquimans County on May 14, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Layden and Blanche Monds Dail. A homemaker, she attended the Brenda Simpson Adult Sunday School Class at Forest Park Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Dail McPherson.

   Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Paul Jordan; two daughters, Teresa Jordan Brickhouse (John) of Camden and Paula Jean Jordan of Hertford; six grandchildren, Tammy Barnard (Brad), Johnathan Brickhouse (Alex), Shelton C. Brickhouse (Harley), Brandon Smithson (Beth), and Stephanie and Travis Smithson; and seven great-grandchildren, Samantha, Conner, Terri Michael, Casen, Skylar, Tristyn "T", and Jaxon.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. A private burial will follow in the Jordan Family Cemetery in Tyner. Friends may join the family Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home, and all other times at the residence.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society.
