Elissa Rochelle Smith Barreto Gay

   Elissa Rochelle Smith Barreto Gay, 34, of 496 Paige Riddick Road, Gates, NC, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 in her home.

   Elissa was born in Norfolk, VA on May 19, 1983.  She was preceded in death by a newborn son, Isaiah Gay.

   Surviving are her husband, Casey Darren Gay; her mother, Charlotte Hollingsworth of Gates; her father, Mark Steven Smith and wife Angela of New Bern; two daughters, Isabelle West of Panama City, FL and Alana Barreto of Lexington, KY; three brothers, Nathaniel Smith of Chesapeake, VA, and Ian Smith and Ethan Smith, both of New Bern; and her maternal grandmother, Gloria Hollingsworth of Gates.
