Samuel Robert Clayton

   Samuel Robert "Sam" Clayton, 46, of 311 Coree Trail, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in his home.

   Sam was born in Welch, WV on May 16, 1971, and was the son of the late Sammie Lewis Clayton and Shirley Ann Rector Boyd. He was a self-employed carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cherish Noelle Clayton.

   Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Tammy Lynn McKeown Clayton; five children, Tabitha Lynn Clayton, Samuel Glenn Clayton, Joshua Ryan Clayton, Noah Christopher Clayton, and Heather Brooke Clayton; three sisters, Virginia and Samantha Mikus, and Sherri Guzman; and a brother, James Norman Rector.

   A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Center Hill Baptist Church, and will be officiated by The Rev. Russell Blanchard.
