Jerry Wayne Walker

   Jerry Wayne Walker, 56, of 253 Burgess Road, Hertford, NC, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in his home.

   Mr. Walker was born in Virginia Beach, VA on November 24, 1961, and was the son of Johnnie and Leona Vellines Walker of Wilson. The owner and operator of Walker's Tree Service, he was a member of both the National Rifle Association and Republican Party. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dallas Ray Walker.

   Surviving are his wife, Debra Hall Walker; a daughter, Mackenzie Brunson and husband Aaron of Virginia Beach; a sister, Sherry Reed of Wilson; and by a special uncle, Bert Vellines of Virginia Beach.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. A private burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park in Norfolk, VA. Friends may join the family in the funeral home the hour prior to services on Saturday, and all other times at the residence.
