Janet Chappell Sheridan

   Janet Chappell Sheridan, 58, of 1114 Macedonia Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in her home.

   Janet was born in Chowan County on December 4, 1959, and was the daughter of the late Elton Thomas and Margaret Spurlin Chappell. She had been employed as a substitute teacher with the Chowan County School System, and had mainly worked at the D.F. Walker Elementary School.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Elton Thomas Chappell, Jr.

   Surviving are her son, Matthew Phillip Sheridan; and three sisters, Linda C. Evans, Nancy C. Goodwin, and Betsy C. Wiggins, all of Edenton.

   In accordance with her wishes, no service will be held. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
