Faye Kehr McCumber

   Faye Kehr McCumber, 95, of 110 Old Hertford Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018, in her home.

   Mrs. McCumber was born in Montgomery County, Iowa, and was the daughter of the late Frank B. and Florence Dunn Kehr. Her younger life was spent in Omaha, Nebraska as a devoted mother and working for the Army Corps of Engineers. Later she enjoyed golfing, living in Carefree, Arizona, and Fox Acres Country Club, Colorado, and traveling. After the death of her husband in 1991, the late Myrle W. McCumber, she lived in Geneva, Illinois, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and lastly in Edenton, to be near her family.

   Surviving are four daughters, Nancy R. Hetager and husband John of Overland Park, KS, Toni C. Kula of Winchester, VA, JoAnn C. Kinney of Boulder, CO, and Cheryl R. Orr and husband Randy Naylor of Edenton; her sister, Lynne Gibson of Pagosa Springs, CO; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
