Audrey Nixon Riddick

   Audrey Nixon Pittman Riddick, of Belvidere, NC, died Friday, January 5, 2018.

   The daughter of the late Kramer and Lessie Pritchard Nixon, she spent most of her life in Rocky Mount where she was an avid New York Yankees fan and worked with Burlington Industries. Her later years were spent in the Whiteston community of Belvidere.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Pittman and Archie C. Riddick.

   Surviving are her uncle, Carlton R. Nixon, and other members of the Thomas William "Tom" Nixon family, and many members of the Thomas K. Pritchard family, which included her cousins, Eula Smith and Clara Lane. Also surviving are Archie's children, Janet, Marvin, Steve, and son-in-law, Barry Shannon, and their families.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, at 11:00 a.m. in Up River Friends Meeting, and will be conducted by Pastor Chuck Hartman. Friends may join the family in the fellowship hall of the Meeting House immediately following the service. A graveside service will be held later that afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Forest Hill Cemetery, 350 North First Street, Nashville, NC.

   Memorial contributions may be made either to the building fund of Up River Friends Meeting, in care of Julian Baker, 523 Up River Road, Belvidere, NC 27919, or to a charity of one's choice.
