Faye Outlaw Harrell, 79, of 204 White’s Landing Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in her home.
Mrs. Harrell was born in Bertie County on July 21, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Hersey Raymond and Lida Overton Outlaw. Retired from George C. Moore Company, she was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Patrick “Pat” Harrell, Sr., and by a brother, Ronald Outlaw.
Surviving are her daughter, Gail H. Boyd and husband Jeff of Edenton; a son, Pat Harrell, Jr. and wife Karen of Portsmouth, VA; two sisters, Jean Cobb of Merry Hill, and Brenda Outlaw of Albemarle; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Rocky Hock Baptist Church and will be conducted by her pastor, Dr. James Horton. A private burial will be held in the Harrell Family Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the vestibule of the church following the service on Saturday, and all other times at the home.
