Linda Blair Spencer Adams, 77, of 116 Morris Circle, Edenton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.
Mrs. Adams was born in Hampton, VA, on February 10, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Worth Eugene and Esther Mae Hollowell Spencer. A homemaker, she had worked at the Edenton Bus Station, and was a member of Edenton Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara S. Rinehart.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, John M. Adams; a daughter, Kimberly D. Dennis and husband Michael of Chesapeake, VA; three sons, James N. “Jimmy” Young, and John Walter Adams and wife Magda, all of Manassas, VA, and Eric Wayne Adams and wife Kat of Omaha, NE; two sisters, Cynthia S. Dandrea of Anaheim, AZ, and Irene S. Stotesbury of Edenton; four grandchildren, Nick, Brock, Evan, and Lauren; and two great-grandchildren, Darren and Jakob.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Edenton Baptist Church and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. David Brooks. Friends may join the family for a reception in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service, and a private burial in Beaver Hill Cemetery will follow the reception. At all other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Edenton Baptist Church, 200 S. Granville Street, Edenton, NC 27932.
