Glennie Myers Miller

   Glennie Myers Miller, 77, of 195 Winfall Blvd., Hertford, NC passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, in Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.    Mrs. Miller was born in Lenoir County on March 13, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Johnnie F. and Louie Dail Myers. A retired nurse, she had worked at Albemarle Hospital, later with Dr. T.P. Brinn in his Hertford office, and lastly had worked part-time with Dr. Neil DeNunzio. A member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, she had also been active in its United Methodist Women.    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann M. Goodwin, and by brothers, John, Gene, and Jake Myers.    Surviving are her husband of 57 years, William Ray Miller; three sons, Ken Miller of Harbinger, Scott Miller and wife Jan, and Tony Miller and wife Melissa, all of Hertford; three grandchildren, Brad Miller and wife, Jamie, Alyssa Walters and husband, J.T., and Maylin Miller; and three great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Walters, and Liam and Nolan Miller.    Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. A private burial will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home immediately following the chapel service, and all other times they may be joined at the residence.
