Carolyn Patricia Hollowell

   Carolyn Patricia Hollowell, 82, of Paradise Road, Edenton, NC, and formerly of Hobbsville, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, in Vidant Chowan Hospital.

   Miss Hollowell was born in Gates County on April 2, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Phillip Braxton and Beatrice Hinton Hollowell. A retired clerk and rural carrier with the United States Postal Service, in earlier years she and her mother operated Hollowell’s Florist. She was a member of Hobbsville Baptist Church.

   Surviving are her sister, Anne H. Lee and husband, J.W., of Clayton, NC; and their children and grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Hobbsville Baptist Church and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. Tim Dannelly. A private burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family in the social hall of the church following the service.
