Wesley Carroll Weatherington, Sr.

   Wesley Carroll Weatherington, Sr., 68, of W. Grubb Street, Hertford, NC, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Vidant Bertie Hospital, Windsor.

   Mr. Weatherington was born in Beaufort County on November 8, 1949, and was the son of the late Cliffie Wesley and Sophia Midgette Weatherington. Retired from Ace Hardware following more than 20 years of employment, he was a faithful member of Bethlehem Church of Christ where he served as Elder Emeritus, sang in the choir, and had taught Sunday school. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clifton Weatherington.

   Surviving are his wife of nearly 47 years, Ann Ewings Weatherington; three sons, Art Weatherington and wife, Patti, of Greenville, Lee Weatherington of Currituck, and Chris Weatherington of Raleigh; and three grandchildren, Cory, Caitlynn, and Megan.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in Bethlehem Church of Christ, and will be conducted by Minister Ron Lawrence. Friends may join the family in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
