Norman Alvin Russ, Jr.

   Norman Alvin Russ, Jr., 75, of Rocky Hock Road, Edenton, NC, died Monday, May 7, 2018 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton.

   
   Mr. Russ was born in Montgomery County, MD on September 13, 1942, and was the son of the late Norman Alvin, Sr. and Edith Gertrude Jolley Russ.  An Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War, he was a member of Edenton First Assembly of God.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Allen Russ.

  
   Surviving are his two nieces, Edith Russ White and husband, Scott, of Spartanburg, SC, and Patricia Russ Wolford of Frederick, MD; two great-nephews, Michael and Nathan Wolford; and a great-great-nephew, Bryson Wolford.

  
   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Edenton First Assembly of God, and will be conducted by his pastor, The Rev. Randy Pierce.
