Caleb and Justin Kittrell

   Caleb Parker Kittrell, 22, and his brother, Justin Taylor Kittrell, 20, both of Corapeake, passed away together on Monday, May 14, 2018, at their home on Parker’s Church Road.

   Caleb and Justin were both lifelong residents of Gates County, had graduated from Gates County High School, and were members of Parker’s United Methodist Church.

   Caleb, currently employed with Brinkley Hardware in Gates, had recently been accepted into the Apprenticeship Program for Pipefitting at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Justin had most recently been employed with Domino’s Pizza on College Drive in Suffolk, VA.

   Surviving are their parents, Jody Taylor Brinkley and husband, Vernon, of Gates, and George Parker Kittrell, III and fiancé, Tina Martin, of Corapeake; their grandparents, Mary Kathryn and George Parker Kittrell, Jr. of Corapeake, and Ronnie Parker and Marian Brinkley, both of Gates; and their step-sisters, Kaila Brinkley of Greenville, and Jenna Brinkley of Hobbsville. Also surviving are Caleb’s special friend, Charlotte Harrell of Eure, and Justin’s special friend, Haley Neal of Corapeake.

   Both were preceded in death by grandparents, Ronald Leslie Taylor, and Rebecca Turner Taylor Parker.

   A funeral service celebrating their lives will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Gates County High School, and will be officiated by the Rev. Robert Jordan, and assisted by the Rev. Casey Estler. A private burial will be in the Parker’s United Methodist Church Cemetery.

   The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions in their memory be made to Warriors of Hope, (a support group for families affected by addiction), in care of any branch of the State Employees Credit Union; or to any chapter of the American Cancer Society, (www.cancer.org), in deference to the family’s loved ones who have fought that disease.
