Annie Bell Bonner Wynn, 81, of Mexico Road, Edenton, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.
Mrs. Wynn was born in Perquimans County on August 11, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Martha Virginia Brothers Bonner. Retired from the health care profession, she was an active member of Mount Olive Church of Christ-Disciples of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Loumattie Long, Mabel Perry, Lauretta Holley, and Geraldine Hayes; and five brothers, James, Arlester, Andrew, Willie, and Melgrew Bonner.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Joseph Wynn; her children, Shirley Schoolfield (Thomas) of Hertford, Joseph Wynn, Jr. of Cromwell, CT, George Wynn (Evonia) of Edenton, Titus Wynn of Middletown, CT, Carlton Wynn (Dorothy), Mitchell Wynn (Shirley), and Paula Wynn, all of Edenton; two sisters, Doris Jean Holley of Merry Hill and Carolyn Bellamy of Tarboro; a brother, William Bonner of Edenton; 12 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and will be conducted by Elder James E. Palmer. A private burial will follow in Mount Olive Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
