Alice Williams Martin

   Alice Williams Martin, 88, of 1341 Paradise Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018, in Vidant Chowan Hospital.

   Mrs. Martin was born in Chowan County on August 17, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Percy Lee and Zannie Lucas Williams. A homemaker, in years past she had worked as a clerk in both a drugstore, and at Maxway Dept. Store. She was a member of Yeopim Baptist Church.

   In addition to her parents, other deceased family members include her husband, Milton Sills Martin; sisters, Esther Brabble and Anna Hare; and brothers, Guy, K.W., and Mike Williams.

   Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Queen and husband, Kirk, of Waleska, GA; a son, Milton Franklin “Frankie” Martin of Edenton; a step-son, Ronnie Martin and wife, Betty, of Lynchburg, VA; a sister, Edna Trapp of Edenton; two grandsons, Johnthan Queen and wife, Heather, of Waynesboro, GA, and Jason Queen of Ordway, CO; four great-grandchildren, Kylie, Cheyenne, Abigile, and McKenzie; three step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
   
   A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9th, at 11:00 a.m. in Yeopim Baptist Church and will be conducted by the Rev. Karl Head and the Rev. Danny Martin. Friends are invited to join the family in the social hall of the church immediately following the service.
