Shirley Perry Hollomon

   Shirley Paige Perry Hollomon, 86, of 424 Ravenstone Drive, Chesapeake, VA, and formerly a resident of the Arrowhead Beach community near Edenton, NC, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018, in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.

   Mrs. Hollomon was born in Bertie County, NC on September 25, 1931, and was the daughter of the late William Martin and Geneva Myers Perry. A homemaker, in earlier years she had worked with Rices Nachmans Department Store in both the Wards Corner and 21st Street locations. Formerly a longtime member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, after moving to Arrowhead Beach, she and her husband became members of Bandon Chapel.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Dorsey “Jim” Hollomon, Jr., and by her sister, Ealease Myers.

   Surviving are two sons, James Wayne Hollomon, and Eugene “Marty” Hollomon and wife, Cheryl, all of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Shannon Davis of Chesapeake, and Marty Hollomon, Jr. of Lake Worth, FL; six great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Evan, and Aria Davis, and Katherine, Ethan, and Seth Hollomon; and a nephew, Cecil E. Myers, Jr. of Edenton.

   Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, and will be conducted by a longtime family friend, Stephen P. Napier. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
