Michael Robert McKnight

   Michael Robert McKnight, 76, of 344 Center Hill Road, Tyner, NC, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in his home.

   Mr. McKnight was born in Rock Island, IL on February 7, 1942, and was the son of the late Weldon Harry and Lucy O’Dell McKnight. An Army veteran, he was a lifelong member of Post 3893 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Harker Heights, TX.

   Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Darlene Johnson McKnight; two daughters, Crystal and Ginger; five sons, Kenneth, Michael, Weldon, Adrian, and Andrew; two sisters, Elizabeth and Theresa; two brothers, Joseph and Pat; and 15 grandchildren.

   At his request, no services will be held. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
