Mariah Danielle Ricks

   Mariah Danielle Ricks, 22, of Woodville Road, Hertford, NC, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018.

   Born in Pasquotank County on March 18, 1996, she was the daughter of David Edwin and Carnell Cox Ricks of Hertford.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Joyce Griffin Cox.

   In addition to her parents, surviving are her three brothers, Dean Cartwright, Jr. and Brandon Cartwright, and Nathan Ricks; paternal grandparents, William "Bill" and Billie Sawyer Ricks; a niece, Raelynn Cartwright; and several aunts, uncles and extended family members.

   Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Saturday, July 7, from 6 to 7 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford.  A private inurnment will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City.
