Sylvia Parker Curle

   Sylvia Lee Parker Curle, 81, of Whaleyville Blvd., Suffolk, VA, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Sentara Rehabilitation and Care of Chesapeake.

   Mrs. Curle was born in Bertie County, NC on September 10, 1936, and was the daughter of the late George Washington and Thelma Lee Parker.  A homemaker, she was a member of Somerton United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tammy Jo Steinert.

   Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Epenetus “Bo” Curle; a daughter, Sylvia Ann Curle Fowler and husband, Tommy, of Suffolk; a son, Timothy Wayne Curle and wife, Linda, of Edenton, NC; two sisters, Shirley Askew of Eure, NC and Deanna Bunch of Sunbury, NC; a brother, George Parker of Eure; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Jonathan.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, NC, and will be conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Smith.  A private burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk.  Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the chapel service on Tuesday.
