Marie Vincent Landing

   Marie Vincent Landing, 91, of 239 Corner High Road, Eure, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018, in her home.      Mrs. Landing was born in Indianola, Mississippi, on January 26, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Tony and Vera Huckaby Vincent. Retired as the secretary to the President of Chowan University, she was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church and The Order of the Eastern Star.      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Felton Darcy Landing; and by three brothers, Samuel, Tony, Jr., and Jimmy Vincent.      Surviving are two brothers, Leonard Vincent of Clarksdale, Mississippi, and Peter Vincent of Eure; a nephew, Jon Thomas Vincent of Wilmington; several other nieces and nephews, and a host of wonderful friends and neighbors.      Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in Cool Spring Baptist Church and will be conducted by the Rev. Joe McKnight and the Rev. Dr. Wayne Proctor. A private burial will follow in the church cemetery.
