Edna Williams Trapp

   Edna Williams Trapp, 87, of 508 Yeopim Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, in her home.

 

   Mrs. Trapp was born in Chowan County on November 18, 1930, and was the last surviving child of the late Percy Lee and Zannie Lucas Williams. A homemaker, as she and her Marine Corps husband moved during his career, she worked in various clerk and receptionist positions. She was a lifelong member of Yeopim Baptist Church.

 

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Matthews Trapp, Sr.; her son, Allen M. Trapp, Jr.; sisters, Esther Brabble, Alice Martin, and Anna Hare; and by brothers, Guy, K.W., and Mike Williams.

 

   Surviving are her daughter, Joan T. Wilson of Portsmouth, VA; three grandsons, Matthew Wilson and wife Allie, Jeffrey Wilson, and Dashawn Johnson; two great-granddaughters, a great-grandson, and many other extended family members.

 

   Graveside services will be held Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery and will be conducted by her nephew, The Rev. Terry Williams. Friends may join the family at the residence.
