Evelyn Marie Alford Arnold

   Evelyn Marie Alford Arnold, 74, of 152 Rainbow Drive in the Holiday Island community of Hertford, NC, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, in Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.

   Mrs. Arnold was born in Cabell County, West Virginia, on September 30, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Cecil and Vada Chaney Alford. A homemaker, Navy wife, and mother, she was a member of Island Christian Fellowship.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Arnold; and by her son, Robert Paul Frasher.

   Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly Lynn Revels and Karen Denise Clarke; and her son, Daren Ray Arnold and wife, Jenna, all of Hertford; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Frasher of Hampton, VA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Michael Dustin and Sean Travis Revels, Donovan Ray, Carson Griffith, and Gavin Reilly Arnold, and Daniel Lee and Brody Dean Clarke; and two great-grandchildren, Dacoda and Cheyanne Revels.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and will be conducted by Pastor Ismael Melendez. Visitation with the family will follow the service. The burial, next to her husband, will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hurricane, WV.
