Joyce Mitchell Williams

   Joyce Mitchell Williams, 75, of Edenton Prime Time Assisted Living, Mark Drive, Edenton, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, in Martin General Hospital, Williamston.

   Mrs. Williams was born in Chowan County on December 28, 1942, and was the only child of the late John Clifton and Mary Ella Twiddy Mitchell. Retired from the Winding Room of Edenton Cotton Mill, she was a member of Cape Colony Church of Christ.

   Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Murray Baker Williams, Sr.; two sons, Murray B. Williams, Jr. and wife, Sarah, of Hobbsville, and Mark C. Williams and wife, Anna, of Hertford; four grandchildren, Beth Copeland and husband, James, Adam Williams and wife, Andrea, Jake Williams, and Ryan Williams; and five great-grandchildren, Mason and Sage Copeland, and Gabriel, Tobias, and Aurora Williams.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Cape Colony Church of Christ and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. Thomas Biggs. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
