Wilma S. Humphries

   Wilma S. Humphries, 91, of 111 North River Drive, Jarvisburg, NC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

   Mrs. Humphries was born in Camden County on June 24, 1927, and was the daughter of the late John and Katie Riggs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Humphries, and by two sisters, Aline and Grace Pierce.

   Surviving are her daughter, Marlene Newbern and husband, H.D., III; her son, Don Humphries and wife, Judy; five grandchildren; H.D. Newbern, IV and wife, Kim, Scott Newbern, Richard Clayton Newbern, Amber Humphries, and Donny Humphries; and eight great-grandchildren, Sydney, Tristan, Rachael, and Benelli Newbern, Ayanna and Amaya Brickhouse, and McKenzie and Keaton Humphries.

   Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City. Friends may visit with the family in the cemetery immediately following the service on Wednesday, and all other times at the residence.
