In 1907 when Mr. Lycurgus Hofler founded our business, the most common mode of informing the Gatesville community of a death was by sending a young boy door to door with a handwritten announcement on a silver tray, covered by a black cloth. Who could have imagined then the technology of today? But even with these advancements of communication, our commitment to old fashioned, personal service remains the same.
